Being from Birmimgham, I am always excited to learn about someone from Birmingham doing something wonderful. Tammy Connor is one standout example of someone from Birmingham who is doing just that. She is quite an inspiration to someone in the same field from the same place, and we are fortunate to have her in our city. She is an interior designer with an incredible talent. As a testament to her success, she was recently featured as one of TRADhomes 10 designers to watch. I think the people at TRADhome perfectly captured Tammy's style when they described it as: "casual classic ... infused with Southern elegance and charm." I love her designs because they are calm, classic, and delicate, but they still look like real homes where real people live with their dogs, kids, messes, toys, etc. Because if a home isn't livable, its not really a home. sidenote-- check out the light fixture in the last picture... amazing. that, my friends, is cool design... Also- note how the fixture echoes the architecture of the room and draws your eyes up in a room which soars upwards with high walls.
